The title of this post is a quote by Algernon Charles Swineburne. Although, I added the part about “on a motorcycle”. It’s true though, right? You could take any quote and pretty much add “on a motorcycle” and it would be better.
Today as I sat sipping my coffee, I felt the familiar energy of joy and excitement in my belly (nope, not the burrito I had for dinner last night) that can only come from thinking about new adventures on the bike.
I started to look back at my old posts, and they made me smile as I looked at some of the highlights. I rode to many places alone, many with a dear friend or two, sometimes knowing exactly where I was going, sometimes just letting the wind take me. Sometimes riding through pain, joy, anger, love, heartache, excitement, fear, bliss, or hope.
Regardless of how I was feeling, the miles under my wheels gave me time to reflect and appreciate all that is and be grateful to have the experience of being on a motorcycle. I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos of some of my most cherished trips.
Yep, as you can see by this collection of photos, I made these trips on various bikes I’ve owned and even one borrowed like this one in the photo below (thanks Dick). I thought I’d leave you with a few Spring time photos from Death Valley, CA
I realized there are just too many photos and memories to share, so at risk of losing your attention (if I haven’t already), I’ll end it here. Now, looking up from my laptop, seeing the morning sun shine on spring buds, it leaves me wanting to start planning new adventures for the year. As always, I’ll elicit the help of Pickles to help me decide and navigate. Happy Spring everyone, more adventures are coming!
An excellent way to reflect. Thanks for cool pictures. (And adventures)

Beautiful photos! I yearn for Moab again. It’s been too long (2010). Happy motoring!

Thank you for sharing this. Your photographs are stunning. I share similar feelings and experiences from my own rides. The photos resuraface and hit my like a punch in the gut. Throttle happy. Yesterday I went for the first long ride of the year. A blessing like no other.
Be well.
